Specifications include, but are not limited to: a.The contractor shall be expected to perform athletic training work between the hours of 1:30 PM. and 6 PM, and/or till the end of any home athletic event, Monday through Friday, and for approximately 4-6 hours ona Saturday. The contractor’s services maybe needed during periods of school recess. These hours may be adjusted, extended or limited, based on the needs of individual teams.b.The contractor shall establish and implement a program for the purpose of minimizing injuries which includes conditioning programs, judicious equipment selection, athletic activity site safety checks and determination of physical fitness for participation in intended activities.c.The contractor must possess a valid certification fromthe State of New York issued pursuant to Article 162 of the Education Law and has successfully completed training pursuant to Public Health Law 2000-b(3)(a) in the operation and use of an Automated External Defibrillator.d.The contractor shall provide first-aid, CPR, assesses extent of injury and managewounds.e.The contractor shall provide athletic participants with tape, elastic bandages, braces, splints, pads and modified equipment and demonstrate proper taping,strapping bracing and fitting of athletic equipment.
