Telecommunications Provider or Contractor is responsible for procurement and installation of all necessary fiber optic cable and other infrastructure from each district's "Flub" to each of the other locations specified in this document. 5.02 Telecommunications Provider or Contractor will provide a detailed maintenance proposal for all fiber optic cable and other infrastructure. This must include response time for outages that meet or exceed response requirements specified in 9.03, regardless of cause. Telecommunications Provider or Contractor will certify the ability to maintain all fiber optic cable referenced for the duration of any agreement. 5.03 All fiber optic cable shall be installed in conduit underground from public access points to all building entrance locations, unless otherwise authorized. 5.04 No splicing will be allowed between the service entrance and the termination at the BDFs. 5.05 All fiber optic cable shall be terminated in Telecommunications Provider or Contractor supplied rack mounted fiber patch panel. 5.06 All fiber optic jumper cables in the BDFs are to be provided by Telecommunications Provider or Contractor. 5.07 Wiring, cabling and distribution frames shall be labeled, tagged and installed in a neat and professional manner using standard methods and materials throughout. 5.08 The fiber optic cable is to be single Mode, using Alcoa Fujikora, Corning (formally Siecor), OFS (formerly Lucent) Single Mode fiber optic cable or a pre-approved equivalent. Any Fiber Optic cable attachment will be in strict accordance with the requirements dictated by the pole attachment agreements and uniform construction procedures of the Bellcore "Blue Book- Manual of Construction Procedures".
