The selected provider will work in partnership with HRA to allocate resources and enhance the services required by this RFx. In addition to the resources provided by the selected provider, other HRA resources will be available to the CCWDP selected provider. These resources include: • Education and training services, including those provided through partnerships with city, state, and privately funded programs. • Community Hiring, as authorized pursuant to chapter 669 of the laws of 2023, which enables the City to leverage its purchasing power by setting workforce goals on City contracts: o Through Community Hiring, City contracts will contain workforce goals for vendors to employ economically disadvantaged candidates or economically disadvantaged region candidates, as defined under Section 3501 of the New York City Charter (collectively, “Community Hires”). o For more information about Community Hiring, visit the following website: https://www.nyc.gov/site/wkdev/recent-initiatives/community-hiring.page. • Workforce Development program initiatives: referrals of HRA cash assistance clients to the NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS) and Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) workforce development initiatives. • Referrals to select community-based organizations, City University of New York (CUNY), or State University of New York (SUNY) that provide job training and placement. • Community service and Career Exploration.
