Village Officials anticipate key project tasks to include the following: 1. Complete Community Profile and Assessment - Review existing relevant local and regional plans and projects ○ Prepare a Community and Regional Demographic and Economic Profile; ○ Evaluate and map, as needed: i. Land use and zoning ii. Downtown and economic development iii. Housing and neighborhoods iv. Open spaces and recreation v. Natural and cultural resources vi. Transportation Systems vii. Infrastructure viii. Civic assets ○ Hold Open House/Workshops ○ Meet with Stakeholders ○ Conduct an online survey; 2. Develop draft vision, goals, strategies, and projects ○ Perform an initial SWOT analysis ○ Develop a vision statement, goals and strategies focused on: i. Creating a sense of place ii. Connectivity via multi-modal transportation opportunities iii. Infrastructure upgrades iv. Neighborhoods and housing v. Open spaces and parks vi. Sustainability and Smart Growth vii. Land use and character of development ○ Identify potential priority projects; 3. Finalize vision, goals, strategies, and projects based on steering committee and public feedback; 4. Prepare a draft and final Comprehensive Plan ○ Prepare an Executive Summary ○ Include the community profile, community engagement strategy, vision, goals, policies, and projects ○ Add an implementation strategy ○ Hold the final public Open House; 5. Complete SEQR, 239m review, and adopt the Plan
