A. The contract specification included herein is for work required to supply Coagulant Aid Polymer as specified in Appendix B and to provide: a. Safe handling, delivery, and transfer of the Coagulant Aid Polymer to City water treatment facilities or as needed at any City facilities. b. Weekly chemical assay by a certified laboratory; c. On-site sample collection of product being delivered; B. The Coagulant Aid Polymer is used during the cold months, primarily the months of October to March. C. The VENDOR shall ensure the integrity and quality of the water treatment chemicals by weekly chemical assays performed by a certified laboratory (LABORATORY), and by the use of sealed tanker trucks dedicated to Coagulant Aid Polymer of equal or greater quality specified. D. The VENDOR shall satisfy themselves, by thorough knowledge of this contract specification and applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations, as to the requirements of the work. The VENDOR shall not assert at any time after the submission of a bid that there was a misunderstanding concerning the nature, requirements, or amount of work to be done. E. The VENDOR shall furnish all labor and the necessary equipment, tools and personal protective equipment (PPE) that may be required to perform the work. All work must be performed using good engineering practices and to the appropriate industry safety codes and standards. F. The VENDOR shall furnish all permits, licenses, labor, materials, tolls, insurance, equipment, and incidentals required to complete the work in accordance with the contract specifications and as directed by the ENGINEER. The work is to provide chemical delivery services to City water treatment facilities in accordance with applicable Federal, State, City, and Local regulations, including transportation, transfer, laboratory analysis, and sample collection, and to supply appropriate PPE for the purposes of delivery tasks and spill response.
