Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Identify commercially available, cloud-based ERP systems that would meet NYPA’s business requirements. • Selecting a platform which will enable process optimization by implementing standardized out-of-the box functionality with minimal customizations resulting in streamlined operations and reduce overall total cost of ownership for the electric utility industry. • Fully understand the pros and cons of performing a brownfield implementation (limited business process changes) versus a greenfield implementation (redesigned business process and enterprise digital transformation). • Fully understand the pros and cons of various deployment options including public, private and government cloud options • Fully understand the solution extension ecosystem and how NYPA will be able to continue to leverage its existing investments in “bolt-on” and third-party solutions. • Obtain planning estimates for licensing/subscription fees, annual maintenance costs, hosting fees, support services and other ongoing costs that can be used for budgetary and planning purposes. • Obtain planning estimates of the costs to migrate from NYPA’s current on-premises solution to a fully cloud based environment, using a phased approach. • Obtain planning estimates of appropriate NYPA staffing recommended to prepare for, implement, manage, and operate an ERP solution.
