The principal features of the Work to be performed under this project are defined in the Contract Documents and include: site clearing and grubbing; demolition and removal of an existing bridge structure consisting of mechanically fastened 6 x 6 timber decking supported by 8 X 8 steel I-beam girders; demolition and removal of existing 11-foot height cast-in-place concrete bridge abutments and wingwalls; demolition and removal of 8,050 sf of asphalt concrete pavement and 1,750 sf of gravel surfaced roadway; demolition and removal of a 150 lf metal guide rail; demolition and removal of 100 lf of 3 foot height fieldstone wall; removal, storage, and replacement of 35 lf of 3 foot height fieldstone wall; demolition and removal of 90 lf of 12 and 15 dia. stormwater conveyance piping; temporary stream by-pass pumping using skid or trailer mounted, diesel powered, mechanical pumping equipment; installation of a temporary sand bag cofferdam in the existing stream channel; installation of a new 32 W (clear span) x 12 -0 height x 36 linear foot pre-cast concrete, segmental arch culvert with wingwalls and a headwall installed at each end; re-grading and restoration of asphalt cement concrete roadway including new full depth asphalt pavement at the intersection of Horton Hollow Road and portion of existing driveway/parking area located property to the south (TPN 72.-1-47); installation of four (4) pre-cast concrete catch basins and 120 linear feet of new 15 and 18 dia. HDPE conveyance piping; installation of 400 lf of metal guide rail installation and removal of temporary erosion and sediment control (E&SC) practices and construction site fencing; site restoration work and all other appurtenant and related work as shown, specified and required to complete the project.
