Specifications include, but are not limited to: supply the Townwith Charter Buses (bus with restroom and driver(s)) for a variety of classes, programsand trips offered through the Town of Riverhead Parks and RecreationDepartmentrequiring bus transportation to and from the destination. As the Department of Parks andRecreation schedules and offers “Bus Trips” and “Field Trip” as part of its Fall-Winterand Spring-Summer Recreational Programs the number of bus trips and bustripdestinations may vary month to month or season to season and may be dependent onthe number of interested participants. While the “Bus Trips” are typically selected toattract or address interests of adult residents (i.e. Broadway Play in New York City orAntique Fair in Rhinebeck, New York) and “Field Trips” are selected to attract or addressinterests of children and young adults, some destinations/bus trips are intergenerational(i.e. Baseball at Yankee Stadium or Whitewater Rafting/Lehigh Gorge State Park).
