Specifications include, but are not limited to: Highway Work: • Erosion and Sediment Control • Raise elevation of approaches to meet bridge profile • Extend culvert and construct new headwall • Install guiderail as shown on the plans • Provide signage and pavement markings as detailed in the plans • Box out shoulders and reconstruct shoulders on Niagara Thruway • Provide off site detour with appropriate signage to be used during bridge closure • Remove and install new ITS equipment Bridge Work: • Construct integral abutments and pier • Erect Steel Girders • Construct a cast in place superstructure slab • Construct concrete barrier and snow fence • Remove existing bridge superstructure to limits shown on plans • Remove existing substructure to limits shown on plans. Restoration Work: • Grade, topsoil, and establish turf to limits of work • Remove all contractor equipment and clean-up site
