Specifications include, but are not limited to: NHCC seeks proposals from licensed Anesthesiologists and/or Anesthesiology groups to provide Anesthesiology services to NUMC’s patient population. The selected Provider(s) will be required to provide additional services, including, without limitation: residency oversight, 24/7/365 on-call coverage and other administrative and clinical support as outlined below. The selected Provider(s) will negotiate with NHCC to determine whether NHCC will conduct both facility and provider billing for Anesthesia services or the provider(s) will bill patients directly for professional services, when appropriate. • Provide trained, licensed, and NYS registered Anesthesiologists to service NUMC’s patient population. • Provide a physician who possesses necessary qualifications to act as the chair for the Department of Anesthesia. • Chairman of department must be willing to participate in committees such as (Medical Board Meeting(s), the provider Credentialing Committee, NUMC monthly Performance Improvement Meetings such as PICG and Trauma Performance Improvement meetings. Trauma Administrative meeting (TOPPC), Chairs Meeting, OR Efficiency Committee Meeting, Transfusion Committee, Critical Care Committee, Peri-Op services Committee, Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, Tissue Review Committee, The Pain Committee, and Infection Prevention and Control). Other committees may be added either on an ad hoc or permanent basis
