Specifications include, but are not limited to: Amtrak intends to engage the construction services of a qualified contractor for the Albany-Schenectady Double Track Liberty Drainage Upgrades (various locations in Schenectady, NY and Albany, NY) and Bridge Repairs at Liberty Street Bridge in Schenectady, NY. The proposed work generally includes, but is not limited to, the following: The Albany-Schenectady Double Track Drainage Improvement Project comprises the replacement and installation of gutters and downspouts on various railroad bridge superstructures and substructures over roadways. Cities of Albany and Schenectady, NY; Front Street, MP 160.20; Green Street, MP 160.08; Erie Blvd, MP 159.99; Union Street, MP 159.96; Liberty Street, MP 159.87; Edison Avenue, MP 159.26; Central Avenue, MP 147.11; North Pearl Street, MP 143.69; Broadway, MP 143.46; The Liberty Street Façade Wall Rehabilitation Project comprises the construction of a cast in place concrete wall along the South Wall which encases Pier 2 of the Liberty Street bridge carrying CSX/Amtrak Railroad, MP 159.87. This wall will serve to contain existing controlled low strength material (CLSM) previously placed below Span 3 of the bridge, and which is crumbling at the sidewalk. The Liberty Street Deck Repair and CLSM Void Filling Project comprises of the construction of a permanent deck between structures carrying CSX/Amtrak Railroad over Liberty Street, MP 159.87 and Norfolk Southern Railroad over Liberty Street as well as the filling of remaining voids below bridge beams up the top of ballast plate, between Pier 2 and the south abutment of the bridge carrying CSX/Amtrak over Liberty Street, MP 159.87.
