Specifications include, but are not limited to: Terrazzo Floor Maintenance1. The floor has been polished with the Malish Diamabrush System. Proposers must submit adetailed plan showing how the terrazzo floor will be maintained. The proposal must give detailsof any prior experience with this system and include references if former clients which have sucha system.B.Carpeted Floor Maintenance1.All carpeted flooring shall have an initial soil retardant protection product applied. Thisproduct should be equivalent to Scotch-gard Carpet Protector or Butcher's First Defense.2.The carpets shall be vacuumed on a daily basis, or more often, if needed.3.All spills shall be cleaned up immediately.4.All high traffic and problem areas shall be cleaned as needed. A soil retardant product suchas mentioned above shall be applied after cleaning.5.The carpets shall have extraction cleaning done twice a year. Each time the carpets arecleaned a soil retardant product such as mentioned above shall be applied.The carpets shallbe shampooed as needed and treated with a soil retardant when done.6.Vacuum cleaners must be replaced on a quarterly basis.7.Vacuum cleaner shall not exceed 70 decibels.8.Most of the carpet is Milliken carpet squares. The cleaning contractor will be required toreplace the squares or trade worn areas with non-worn areas. The carpet will be supplied bythe Airport. Please supply a reference of your experience with this carpet system.C.Quarry and Ceramic Tile1.All quarry tile floors shall be cleaned as needed.2.All quarry tile floors shall have a written maintenance plan.3.All ceramic wall tile shall be cleaned as needed.D.Rest Rooms ( to be considered a top priority area )1.The supply dispensers shall be checked and refilled as needed.2.The walls and fixtures shall be spot cleaned as needed.3.The floors shall be swept and damped mopped as needed.4.The trash receptacles shall be emptied as needed.5.The mirrors shall be cleaned as needed.6.The sinks, bowls, seats, and urinals shall be disinfected, cleaned, and dried asneeded.7.All metal work shall be cleaned as needed.8.All surfaces shall be spot cleaned as needed.9.All waste receptacles shall be emptied as needed.10.All waste receptacles shall be cleaned inside and out as needed.11.All sills, partitions, and ledges shall be dusted as needed.12.The rest rooms will need to be thoroughly cleaned once each shift andchecked after each flight.13.All trough-style hand dryers must be wiped, have the drain tube cleaned, the drainreservoir emptied, and the filter cleaned daily.
