Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Classes for 10-15 participants will be 1.5 hours per week for ten (10) weeks. 2. Professional guest speakers are a key element to each class. 3. Each participant will receive an Aging Mastery Toolkit developed by the National Council on Aging. The toolkit includes a workbook, exercise DVD, goal sheets, and plans to promote successful aging around each of the ten topics. Goals, objectives and expectations for the Older Adult Aging Mastery Program: Classes help participants to: 1. Make meaningful changes in their lives; 2. Realize longevity is a gift, and how to make the most of those additional years of living; 3. Feel more empowered to make healthy choices; 4. Gain insights about remaining economically secure; and 5. Continue making valuable social contacts and community engagement. Results show that participants increase their: 1. Social connectedness; 2. Physical activity levels; 3. Healthy eating habits; 4. Use of advanced planning; 5. Participation in evidence-based programs; and 6. Adoption of several other healthy behaviors...
