• Advocate for dedicated funding streams independent of state and federal operational assistance. • Advocate for CDTA, its programs and services, and the broader issues associated with an enhanced mobility network in the Capital Region. • Advocate for improved and more reliable transit funding in New York State. • Assist CDTA in the development of consistent messages and strategies to communicate with state and local elected and appointed officials and their staff. • Position and advocate for CDTA with funding partners at the state and local levels. • Develop and maintain relationships for CDTA with elected and appointed officials that support mobility and economic development funding. • Identify state legislation and grant opportunities for CDTA and the transit industry. Includes monitoring of statutory and regulatory revisions and issues under the umbrella of infrastructure and mobility management. Draft legislation as required.
