Bid for maintenance and repair of all passenger police patrol, light trucks to one ton, and four wheel drive vehicles. Only new, major brand, first line, first quality parts shall be used. Used material may be substituted only upon approval of the department requesting the service. Turn around time for equipment must be within two (2) workdays, for police cars, four (4) days for any other type of vehicles. If a longer period is required, notification and agreement of the same must be made with the using department. All repaired vehicles must be warranted for at least 90 days. A written estimate of repairs and total cost must be made and agreed to by the department requisition service, prior to service being performed. Work estimate must be differentiated from actual invoices. If actual cost will vary more than $50.00 from estimate, approval by using department must be given in advance. Payment shall be made upon submission of invoice vouchers, on a monthly basis. Breakdown of work hours, must show on all invoices. The current issue of Motor Parts and Time Guide/or any other comparable time book, will be the guide used in determining time required for repairs. The allowed time will be the less of either actual time clocked on the repair order, or time allowed in the Time Guide Book/ or equivalent for repairs performed. If a different guide book other than Motor Parts is to be used, notification must be made on this bid, and approved by the County, a copy of guide book to be used must be provided to the County without charge...
