Plastic plugs shall be inserted in holes drilled to apply rust proofing. 3.0 CHASSIS 3.1 Frame – 110,000 psi (min) steel, with heavy duty reinforcement to the entire frame, RBM 3,200,00 (min). 3.2 General Chassis Requirements 3.3 GVW-rating: 62,000 lbs. (Minimum) 3.4 Front axle: 16,000 lbs. I-beam (minimum) with power steering and set back axle. 3.5 Rear axle: tandem - 23,000 each (minimum) with inter-axle differential and air ride suspension with self leveling system. 3.6 Suspension: Air ride with shocks rated for GVWR 3.7 Wheels and tires: Steel belted tubeless radials all season tread in the front and mud and snow tread in the rear Tire/wheels shall be rated for GVWR. Wheels shall be steel disc type. One mounted spare tire and wheel for the front axle and one for the rear axle shall be provided for each truck. 3.8 Shock absorbers: Front/rear, heavy-duty 3.9 Front Bumper: Heavy Duty 1/4" thickness all-steel contoured, full width with flexible clearance indicator rods installed on bumper ends. The bumper shall be extended 6 inches to accommodate glad hand mounting. 3.10 Fuel Tank: 50-gallon (minimum) capacity with a drain plug. The filling spout shall be fitted with a chained locking filler cap, anti-siphon type with four keys. Fuel tank shall be full at time of delivery. The tank shall be permanently labeled "Diesel Fuel Only". 3.11 Exhaust: Vertical system as recommended by the body manufacturer with heat shield and rain protection.
