The Poughkeepsie City School District (PCSD) is seeking an external provider to support youth and community outreach through summer program and activity delivery during the months of July and August. The goal is support of youth development through educational, enrichment, health and wellness, and other activities for students of Poughkeepsie City School District from the age of 5 through 13 years old. Key components of program design are alignment with district goals and objectives, alignment with the PCSD Full-Service Community Schools program goals and objectives. Efforts must support PCSD students through coordinated delivery of fundamental concepts and a wholistic approach to tools supporting delivery of the PCSD Federal Full-Service Community Schools goals and objectives. The PCSD Full-Service Community Schools initiative reflects the United States Department of Education Office of Elementary & Secondary Education Full-Service Community Schools Program. Included in this work is the design and delivery of enrichment programs to support children and families throughout the district. Program design supports four pillars of the national Community Schools model which overlap and intersect with PCSD Goals and Performance Objectives. PCSD has adopted an additional pillar which aligns and supports the work of the Poughkeepsie Children’s Cabinet.
