The NYC Department for the Aging (NYC Aging) is seeking to contract with one mental health provider to implement a new model for providing mental health services citywide for older adults impacted by elder abuse and crime –referred to as Building Options and Opportunities for Survivors of Trauma (BOOST). Elder abuse and crime impacts not only the physical and financial wellbeing of affected older adults, but also their mental health. Mental health support for adults aged 60 and over is a significant social service priority for NYC Aging, and it is especially crucial to provide targeted mental health services for those who have experienced elder abuse or crime. Through this Demonstration Project Solicitation (EPIN 12525D0001), NYC Aging is seeking proposals of innovative models to perform intake, assessment, clinical services, and referrals for this unique population. Additionally, the selected awardee will be required to offer trainings to other providers to develop future capacity.
