23-RFP-BFS-1 - Broadband Feasibility Study

The County of Saratoga is requesting proposals from qualified consulting firms or other interestedparties to complete a study and mapping exercise regarding broadband service availability in thetowns of Hadley, Day, Edinburg, Providence, and Corinth. Specifically, the area will cover alland/or portions of the towns north of the Adirondack State Park boundary. The scope of work isdesigned to provide information on the existing broadband and to identify unserved andunderserved areas. This information will be necessary in the preparation of a broadbanddeployment plan in the five-town region. As well as assisting the County with the challengeprocess of Federal and State mapping which will play a significant role in federal/state fundingallocations for the County. Potential proposers should be advised that the County of Saratoga willbe launching future broadband efforts in the remaining areas of the County via a multi-phaseapproach with future requests for proposal forthcoming.
