RFB-23-37 - Dishwashing Detergents: Dept of Aging, Jail Facility & Van Rensselaer Manor

The contract will be awarded to the responsible bidder submitting the lowest aggregate net total bid meeting specifications or Best Value according to NYS GML § 103 as defined in NYS Finance Law § 163.  All items must be bid in order to be considered a responsive bid. Items will not be awarded on a per item basis. Rensselaer County reserves the right to reject any and all bids received, waive any informalities and re-bid, if necessary, when it appears to be in the County’s best interest. The award period shall be for a period of one (1) year beginning on the date stated in the award letter. The contract may be extended for an additional one (1) year period if mutually agreeable to both the County and the vendor. Bidder will provide and install all automatic dispensing equip­ment necessary to insure the proper concentration of detergent emulsions at all times during the operating cycle. The successful bidder will provide regular preventative maintenance on the dispensing equipment, effecting all necessary repairs and adjustments at no additional cost to the County. Written reports on equipment conditions and over‑all system operation will be filed every two (2) months with: Director of Nutritional Services at Van Rensselaer Manor; Nutritional Project Director for the Department of the Aging; and Director of Food Service at the Rensselaer County Jail. In addition, the successful bidder will provide continual in‑service employee training on all procedures necessary to in­sure the proper operation of the dishwashing systems.  All of these services and equipment will be provided at no extra charge.
