Summary of Specifications:
In general, this project consists of work associated with replacing existing windows and entrance doors and associated trim at openings at the White Branch Library of the Onondaga County Public Library System at 763 Butternut Street, Syracuse New York. Work includes but is not limited to: Selective removals of existing windows, doors, blocking, trim to allow installation of new window and door units. Selective removals and related contractor operations will require abatement of asbestos containing materials and appropriate measures related to lead based paint as specified and described in bid documents. Contract includes fabricating, supplying and installing custom sized replacement aluminum clad wood windows and aluminum framed entrances with associated interior/exterior trim, sealants and finishes to provide a complete window/door replacement system. The work also includes the replacement of two missing or deteriorated exterior light fixtures flanking the main entrance. There are several bid alternates, including exterior painting, masonry cleaning and repointing, described on the drawings and with specification sections.
