2024-107 - Tub and Shower Modifications Program

The Office for the Aging (OFA) is continuing a Tub and Shower Modification Program using targeted home and community-based services funding. This funding allows for certain services which maintain or promote the independence of older adults who meet eligibility criteria. These services include, but are not limited to, removal of physical barriers (such as changing out tubs for walk-in showers, providing raised toilets, grab bars, etc.) and wraparound services such as purchasing/renting, maintaining and repair of appliances. NOTE: These services are provided only when no other funding source/program is available. Each situation and home is unique and the needs of our clients differ from year to year.  The following is the number projects through this program in each year:
Walk-in showers:
2021 - 2
2022 - 5
2023 - 9
2024 - 1 completed and 2 authorized and pending
