Summary of Specifications:
Ulster County intends to purchase one new, GapVax MC1005 Series Combination Jet / Vacuum sewer cleaning machine as made by GapVax of Jamestown, PA, or equal, as described in the following specification. The machine must be installed on a new 2007 Sterling L9500 series chassis as described in the following specification. The successful bidder shall furnish the chassis and install any and all equipment necessary for the sewer cleaner to be a fully operational unit upon delivery to the County’s garage. Body and equipment shall be properly installed and painted where necessary to match cab and chassis prior to delivery. Trucks delivered to Ulster County with more than 300 miles already on the odometer may be refused unless acceptable compensation is offered and agreed upon.
The Award will be contingent on funding being available for this purchase. It is understood by the parties that this agreement shall be executed only to the extent of the monies available to the County of Ulster
Per County Resolution No. 325 dated December 14, 2005 it has been resolved that, for reasons of efficiency and economy, the purchase of light and medium duty single axle trucks is limited to the following manufacturer; Sterling Trucks.
