RFP-UC09-94 - Hybrid Bus Inspections

Summary of Specifications:
UCAT is requesting submittals from qualified individuals or firms to conduct transit bus line inspection and secondary inplant quality assurance services. UCAT is requiring, in accordance with 49 CFR 663, an inspector be present at least 70% of the time the vehicles are in production. The overall goal of these services is to ensure that each of the vehicles being procured is manufactured in compliance with 49 CFR Part 663, "Post-Delivery Audits of Rolling Stock Purchases" regulations; comply fully with the specifications of the order; and that each vehicle is as free of defects as possible when delivered to UCAT. The services of the proposer are to be undertaken and completed in such a sequence as to ensure their expeditious completion. 

UCAT awarded a contract for the manufacture and delivery of five (5) 35-ft. hybrid buses to Orion Bus Industries, Inc. Detailed specifications will be provided to the successful proposer.
