Summary of Specifications:
It is the intent of these specifications to solicit bids for the furnishing of equipment with operators to work in conjunction with the Ulster County Department of Public Works under the direction of the Commissioner of Public Works. Work will be done in conjunction with the municipal work forces and equipment in the Cold In-Place Recycling (CIPR) of various roads. It is the purpose of this bid to provide for CIPR of existing pavements, either with foamed asphalt on County Roads and Town Highways within the County of Ulster. CIPR and other Equipment, Foamed Asphalt, Portland Cement, Pre/Post Milling and Street Preparation will be purchased under this contract. For the Cold In Place Recycling of roads, it is the responsibility of each Bidder submitting proposals to assure that the Recycler they intend to use shall have the capability to recycle at various depths, inject foamed asphalt and water with a two pump-two injection spray bar system, spreading auger and variable width screed all as one unit. The recycler shall also be equipped with a conveyer that will act as a conventional miller for any pre/post milling requirements for the CIPR process.
