Summary of Specifications:
The purpose of this bid is to establish a price for the purchase of Cold Planing Road Surfaces in the County of Ulster and shall include all Ulster County eligible municipalities. The highways to be cold planed will be determined by the Municiple Officer responsible for road and street maintenance and repair. Bid options to consider are:
OPTION I - COOPERATIVE COLD PLANING SERVICES
To furnish equipment and operators to work with the assistance and in conjunction with Ulster County Highways & Bridges equipment and workforces, and/or with Town or City Highway department equipment and workforces, to cold plane roads.
OPTION II - INDEPENDENT COLD PLANING SERVICES
To furnish all equipment, operators, flag people and laborers to perform the entire project of cold planing municipal roads without the assistance of Ulster County HIGHWAYS & BRIDGES , and/or Town or City Highway department equipment and workforces. OPTION III - HOURLY RATES
To furnish hourly rates for equipment with operators. All rates should include cost as per Prevailing Wages as mentioned in these specifications. These rates will be used when:
1) OPTION 1 is used - when municipal workforces cause the delay.
2) When intersections, bridge approachments and decks or any type of trimming work are being milled.
3) When a reclaiming project is less than 3,500 square yards in an eight-hour day.
