RFP-UC11-60 - Bus Inspections

Summary of Specifications:
The purpose of this RFP is to obtain proposals to secure the service of a firm to perform a post-award audit and bus line inspection for transit buses being manufactured for Ulster County Area Transit (UCAT). UCAT ordered two (2) 30’ Diesel transit buses from Gillig, 25800 Clawiter Road, Hayward, CA 94545 which we expect to be manufactured in November 2011. 



UCAT requires, in accordance with 49 CFR 663, an inspector be present at least 70% of the time the vehicles are in production. The overall goal of these services is to ensure that each of the vehicles being procured is manufactured in compliance with 49 CFR Part 663, "Post-Delivery Audits of Rolling Stock Purchases" regulations; comply fully with the specifications of the order; and that each vehicle is as free of defects as possible when delivered to UCAT. The services of the proposer are to be undertaken and completed in such a sequence as to ensure their expeditious completion.
