Summary of Specifications:
Ulster County is interested in purchasing a county-wide Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) , fleet management, fleet scheduling and routing system that could be integrated together to assist in managing our approximately 400 County vehicles.
The County currently has an AVL system, multiple fleet management systems, and in house developed scheduling and routing systems. The County wants to be able to manage all of the fleet requirements from an integrated system. We would like to leverage our existing investment in software, equipment, expertise and time where practical.
The county desires a county-wide AVL system which will allow us to manage all county vehicles from a single interface. We will consider solutions that integrate with or replace our existing TrackStar AVL system. Use of the existing technologies in the vehicles to reduce replacement costs would be a plus.
The proposed systems must provide the County with a facility to do our own ad hoc query reporting and data extractions from the databases. The system must provide the involved departments with tools to analyze their data and to do strategic planning.
The award of this contract may be made to the Proposer(s) of any or all systems whose solicitation(s) best meets the needs of, and is the best interest of, Ulster County.
The contractor is responsible for all the following as related to the implementation of the systems they are proposing. Respondents must submit proposals for the following Project Components they will be providing.
AVL Fleet Management Scheduling/Routing Systems Mobile Fare Collection System
All applications software must interface seamlessly with other software required in this RFP and the respondent must interface third party solutions into the appropriate applications and provide maintenance agreements for the software through the other vendor(s).
