Summary of Specifications:
The County of Rockland’s Consumer Protection Division intends to recommend the issuance of a Sole Source award to Nover Engelstein & Associates, Inc. for their Device Inspection, Package Checking and Price Verification software licenses, Implementation Services and Support and Training. The required software shall perform inspections in adherence to the three National Regulations (NIST Handbook 133 - Supplement 4, NIST Handbook 44 and NCWM Publication 19 in a state government environment and also includes the integration of online national regulations (NIST Handbook 44 and NCWM Publication 19) in a hypertext format. This purchase will be made on a sole source basis in accordance with Rockland County Procurement Policy and approval by the Rockland County Legislature. Nover Engelstein & Associates, Inc. has indicated that they are the only reseller of their products and the only commercially available and proven software that performs these inspections.
