RFP-RC-2017-002 - Space Planning Consultant

The County of Rockland is seeking proposals for a Professional Space Planning Consultant (Architect and or Engineer) to prepare a comprehensive space plan for relocating various county government departments located at the New City Government Center - Sain Building and Dr. Robert L. Yeager Health Center - Buildings, C and L to Building A located at the Dr. Robert L. Yeager Health Center. 
 
This RFP is designed to provide interested offerors with sufficient basic information to submit proposals meeting minimum requirements, but is not intended to limit a proposal's content or exclude any relevant or essential data.  Offerors are at liberty and are encouraged to expand upon the specifications to evidence service capability under any agreement.
 
BACKGROUND
Building A is a ten (10) story, 340,000 gross square feet, concrete steel masonry brick veneer faced building.  It was used as a Hospital and Nursing home until December 2015 at which time it was closed and vacated. The county is desirous to relocate the Department of Social Services to floors one through four and all departments from the Sain Building to floors five and six.  The use of the remaining floors seven though nine has not been determined.
