Summary of Specifications:
The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals required for the cleaning of the Sludge Storage Tank of residual digested sludge materials. The Sludge Storage Tank cleaning Work includes, but is not limited to, the removal of all sludge, grit, rags, liquid, grease and other sewage related materials. Sludge Storage Tank includes the concrete storage tank, steel cover and sludge lines. The Contractor shall provide the District, if requested, with access to the interior of the Sludge Tank, subsequent to the cleaning, for an inspection of the structural and mechanical systems within the tank. All material removed from the Sludge Tank shall be disposed of off-site at a suitable disposal site subject to the approval of the District and in full conformance with all applicable Federal, State, County and Town requirements. Contractor shall maintain and provide to the District proof of disposal of all material removed from the Sludge Storage Tank at acceptable disposal sites. District materials shall be tracked “from cradle to grave.” This procedure shall be followed throughout the contract duration. Work shall be performed between the hours of 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. No work shall to be performed outside of these hours without written authorization from the District representative.
