Summary of Specifications:
The County of Rockland, Department of Public Transportation has an immediate need for a short term lease / rental for various size buses to be used in a Public Transportation setting. The County of Rockland will be renting/leasing the buses, however, the County Transportation Program is run by a Third Party Contractor. Companies shall advise the County of insurance requirements for such an arrangement (i.e. Do both the County and Operator need to insure the vehicles?). The County of Rockland is interested in the following vehicles: Option 1 - Quantity 2-4 - 35' Low Floor Transit, Diesel, Wheel Chair Lift, Seating 32 minimum. Ability to install County owned Farebox (GFI GenFare Odyssey) if possible. County preference is for four (4). If four - 35' Low Floor Transit vehicles are not available, then the County is interested in: Option 2 - Quantity 2-4 - 22'-28' Cut-Away, 14-26 passenger capacity, Diesel or Gas (Diesel preferred), Wheel Chair Lift. Ability to install County owned Farebox (GFI GenFare Odyssey) if possible. Response shall provide the lease/rental price, cost to deliver and pick up the vehicles as a separate cost, copy of standard lease / rental agreement, insurance requirements, and maintenance policies. Vehicles shall be required to meet NYS DOT standards and pass NYS DOT Inspection. If firm is not interested in a short ten (10) week rental / lease term please advise the shortest term available and provide the required pricing.
