Summary of Specifications:
The County of Rockland is seeking to acquire a complete 3-D CRIME SCENE RECONSTRUCTION SYSTEM which shall include a portable laser scanner and crime scene digitizer, combined with the software detailed below, for the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office. The hardware and software described herein shall allow for law enforcement personnel to create a digital image of an indoor or outdoor crime scene, and break to individual details down by way of a fully detailed 3-D scan, containing all the physical details in full color and accurate scale & dimension. The complete system shall include everything necessary to provide both the original video processing and a courtroom demonstration of the final product, allowing for editing-on-the-fly according to the needs of the presentation, including a display, while maintaining a small enough form to be single man-portable, quickly and easily deployed. The system shall be capable of quickly setting up on scene within a half-hour or less. The SceneVision 3D software is fully compatible with the FARO Focus 3D laser Scanners as specified. All products offered shall be fully compatible with each other and integrate as a scanner-plus-software system for the purposes intended. Bid response shall include proof of compatibility and references from five successful implementations of the same system being offered to the County of Rockland.
