Summary of Specifications:
The County of Rockland, Department of Public Transportation requests proposals for the manufacture and delivery of Paratransit buses in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth below. The Contract shall be a firm-fixed price Contract. The County of Rockland, Department of Public Transportation intends to only purchase a total of four (4) - 24 foot – 176 inch Wheel Base Paratransit Vehicles upon contract award. The award will be a single award to the lowest responsible vendor based on the total pricing schedule for Section 1 and Section 2 as indicated on line # 9. Depending on availability, the County will determine which buses or combination of buses will be ordered. DELIVERY: The Contractor shall place an order for all of the chassis and shall submit a delivery schedule to the County of Rockland within fifteen (15) business days after Legislature Approval and receipt of Purchase Order. Chassis shall be delivered to the Contractor within 12 weeks. If delivery of the chassis cannot be made within that time frame, the Contractor shall provide to the County, within five (5) business days, a written explanation for the non-delivery of the chassis. Upon receipt of chassis, the Contractor shall complete the paratransit vehicles within 10 weeks. Expected delivery of these vehicles is twenty-four (24) weeks from issuance of Purchase Order (PO).
