Description

The County of Rockland Sheriff Division and Department of General Services Purchasing Division intend to recommend the issuance of a Sole Source award to Com-Tec Security, LLC. This purchase will be made on a sole source basis in accordance with Rockland County Procurement Policy and approval by the Rockland County Legislature.

The Contractor shall provide the preventive maintenance on the Com-Tec Security Management System Computer (SMS) and software programming to maintain the security system including the PLC, touch screen software and hardware (intercoms, door relay control boards {9111, 9112, 9123} and 1012 interface relay boards) at a lump sum price of $14,320.00; and provide system repair as necessary at a pre-determined authorized rate.

Any interested party should submit a statement of capabilities in sufficient detail to determine if the requirements of this notice can be met by December 1, 2016 prior to 3:00 PM. Statement of capabilities shall include working knowledge of the above system, written authority by Com-Tec to service and access Com-Tec software and hardware systems and parts; documented record of other service work and parts replacement for Com-Tec equipment. A determination by the County not to compete the proposed contract is solely within the discretion of the County. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement.
