Summary of Specifications:
1. SCOPE 1.1. The County of Rockland wishes to establish contract(s) to furnish GENUINE (OEM) PARTS (International and Cummins) and LABOR RATES on an as needed basis for International Trucks, as specified in the specifications. 1.2. On occasion (Section 1) the County's own Vehicle Repair Facilities require outside repair services for its International Vehicles. The resulting contracts are intended to supplement the County's own vehicle Repair Facilities on an as needed basis located at: 1.2.1. Rockland County Highway Garage, 23 New Hempstead Road, New City, NY 10956 1.2.2. . Rockland County Sewer District #1, 4 Route 340, Orangeburg, NY 10962 1.3. The resulting contract (Section 2) is intended to supply International and Cummins parts for use by the County's own Vehicle Repair Facilities located in New City and Orangeburg. 1.4. Vendor response shall also include the completed Market Basket Matrix included in this solicitation. 1.5. The bid proposal pages are in two Sections: 1.5.1. Section 1 - Parts and Labor 1.5.1.1. Vendor shall offer an hourly labor rate for repairs performed in their shop and a percent discount from both the International Major Fleet Rate Price Column from Nationally Recognized Manufacturer's Price List and Cummins Fleet Price Column for Nationally Recognized Manufacturer's Price List used during vendor repair. 1.5.2. Section 2 - Parts only 1.5.2.1. Vendor shall offer a percent discount from both the International Major Fleet Rate Price Column from Nationally Recognized Manufacturer's Price List and Cummins Fleet Price Column for Nationally Recognized Manufacturer's Price List for use by the County's own Vehicle Repair Facilities. 1.5.2.2. “Parts only” orders shall be delivered to the County’s automotive repair facilities located in New City and/or Orangeburg. The County at its option may decide to pick-up certain “parts only” orders.
