Summary of Specifications:
The purpose of this RFP is to inform the private sector of a potential business opportunity to establish a contract for a Digital Medical Dictation System. The initial request is for use in our County run Summit Park Hospital (including Psychiatric Inpatient Unit) and Summit Park Nursing Care Center but will eventually be expanded to meet our Department of Mental Health outpatient and our Department of Health needs. The County of Rockland is seeking a digital dictation system that is server based and capable of supporting multiple sources of dictation input – PC’s, telephone, hand held recorders and PDA’s - which are used from a variety of locations throughout the healthcare facility, remote offices and home. Providers should be able to playback and listen and edit their dictated reports that have not yet been transcribed. Automatic tracking of report statistics by site, report type and date, patient ID, doctor, dictation minutes and status must be included in the system so that voice files may be monitored and managed centrally. Deficiency management and reporting applications update physician deficiencies upon dictation completion should be included. To expedite the transcription work, auto-fax, e-mail are auto-print are required so that transcribed documents can be routed directly from the workstation to doctors, nursing stations and clinics.
