RFP-RC-03-013 - Health Care Services for the Rockland County Correctional Facility

Summary of Specifications:
The County of Rockland requests proposals for a comprehensive, health care delivery system at the Rockland County Correctional Facility, located at 53 New Hempstead Road, New City, NY 10956. The jail houses both male and female inmates. The approximate current average daily population is 258 with 242 male inmates and 16 female inmates. There are approximately 2800 new commitments per year, with approximately 2410 males and 409 females. The facility has a total capacity of 315 beds (288 male and 27 female). 

The Provider shall be the sole supplier and coordinator of the health care delivery system at the Rockland County Correctional Facility (RCCF). Provider shall be responsible for all health care services for all inmates in the RCCF. The term “health care service” includes all medical, psychiatric, dental, physician, nursing, hospitalization, administration, clerical, environmental, medical records and pharmacy services including pharmaceuticals. The responsibility of the Provider for the health care of an inmate commences with the commitment of the inmate to the custody of the RCCF and ends with the discharge of the inmate.
