Summary of Specifications:
1.1 Purpose The County of Rockland, Department of General Services, Facilities Management, on behalf of Rockland Community College, is seeking to obtain from qualified professional Architectural/Engineering firms, consulting services for the development and preparation of an updated Facilities Master Plan for Rockland Community College 1.2 Background A Facilities Master Plan Study for the Rockland Community College Campus is required to provide criteria and guidelines for campus improvements and facilities development that supports the academic mission and strategic vision. The Facilities Master Plan shall identify opportunities to enhance, maintain or improve the built environment in a way that facilitates learning and student development. It shall serve as a guide to the future physical development of the campus, reflecting the history, values, culture and priorities. The documents need to project the Colleges immediate physical needs, while, at the same time, establishing a long term campus renewal and replacement strategy. It shall present comprehensive solutions for the best use of available land taking into consideration the many diverse requirements of all stakeholders. The plan shall clearly identify a long term vision of the campus (to 2020), reflective of their position as a community leader. Interested candidates should demonstrate extensive experience in analyzing programmatic needs of institutions of higher education and planning controlled capital programs to support these needs.
