Summary of Specifications:
The County of Rockland’s Department of Public Transportation (the County) is seeking proposals from qualified firms with experience in delivering software, equipment, and services for an Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) technology for demand response service. The technologies to be procured include: · Demand Response Call Taking, Scheduling, and Routing · Mobile Data Computers and Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) technology for the paratransit fleet
The County of Rockland and its Department of Public Transportation has contracted with Avail Technologies, Inc. to provide a single point of responsibility for the design and implementation of a turnkey Computer Aided Registration, Scheduling, and Dispatch Software System and Mobile Data Communications System with Automatic Vehicle Location Equipment. As such all contracts awarded as a result of this solicitation will be between Avail Technologies, Inc. and the winning proposer(s).
Avail Technologies, Inc. developed the functional and physical specifications for this acquisition with assistance from the Department of Public Transportation. The Public Transportation Department’s selection committee will review the competitive proposals received in response to this solicitation and make an award recommendation.
Avail is responsible to deliver a turnkey solution to the Department of Public Transportation based on the County’s award recommendation. The subsequent hardware, software applications, and services delivery are the responsibility of Avail Technologies, Inc. along with the firms awarded contracts under this solicitation. The firms awarded contracts under this solicitation will be subcontractors working directly for Avail Technologies, Inc.
