RFB-RC-2013-001 - Bus Fleet-Inspection, Preventive Maintenance & Repair

Summary of Specifications:
The County of Rockland is issuing this Request for Bids (RFB) to select a firm using the Federal Transit Administration’s (FTA) Third Party Contracting Guidance (C.4220.1F), to select a firm to perform the Inspection, Preventative Maintenance and Repair Services for its Paratransit Fleet and to include various County vehicles with wheelchair lifts and other Medium Duty Vehicles used in transporting clients as needed. All vehicles subject to the County’s Paratransit Services have been procured with funding assistance from the FTA and New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT). Therefore, compliance with FTA and NYSDOT regulations will be applicable during the life of the contract. 2.1. Bidder shall provide inspection services, maintenance and repair for the Rockland County Department of Public Transportation TRIPS bus fleet (21’-29’) and for other political subdivisions as required. The work shall include but is not limited to inspection of working parts, preventative maintenance and repairs as needed on buses and associated wheelchair lifts. Bidder shall provide roadside services when requested. Pricing shall be provided for transportation and towing. All work shall be performed as specified in this Section.
