Summary of Specifications:
1. SCOPE 1.1. The County of Rockland seeks a contract to provide diagnostic services, automotive repairs, labor and parts and warranty work for five (5) County of Rockland MV-1 vehicles for the Department of Public Transportation. The MV-1's were originally manufactured by Vehicle Production Group, who is now Mobility Ventures Division of AM General. The resulting contract is intended to supplement the County’s own Vehicle Repair Facilities located in Pomona. 1.2. This bid shall be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder in accordance with Rockland County Procurement Policy. 1.3. The MV-1 is a unique vehicle, the engine and transmission are a Ford product and the breaking system is a GM product (a.k.a. Hybrid manufacturing). The vehicle has an electronic ramp. 1.4. The vendor shall be authorized and certified by the manufacturer for warranty and diagnostic services and have the diagnostic equipment for engine, transmissions, breaking systems and electronic ramp for MV-1 vehicles. Bid response shall include manufacturer authorization and certification. 1.5. The authorized county representative will decide at time of need whether to perform the Preventive Maintenance and general repair service at the County’s own Vehicle Repair Facilities located in Pomona with DGS. 1.6. Bid responses (bid proposal pages) shall indicate whether the bidder offers to pick up and deliver vehicles. 1.7. The resulting contract shall supply MV-1 parts for use by the County's own Vehicle Repair Facilities located in Pomona, NY as required. The County requires delivery for stock parts.
