Summary of Specifications:
The County of Rockland, Department of General Services, Capital Projects, is seeking to obtain from qualified professional architectural/engineering firms, design services for the development and preparation of plans and specifications for the removal of an existing 10,000 gallon gasoline underground storage tank and installation of a new single 10,000 gallon or multiple above ground gasoline storage fiberglass tank(s), including a computerized gasoline dispensing system at the Dr. Robert L. Yeager Health Center, Pomona. These plans and specifications shall be in complete compliance with the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code, New York State Wicks Law, Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA), NFPA, ASME, ANSI and all other governing agency codes and standards. The existing 10,000-gallon gasoline underground steel storage tank has been in service for the past thirty years. The tank has been regularly tested in accordance with the County of Rockland Department of Health Regulations. The tank has provided for the storage and accessibility of gasoline for all county vehicles. The tank has reached the end of its useful life expectancy and must be replaced. The tank is located in the rear of Building E directly across from the automotive garage. Approximately five (5) years has passed since a sister 6,000-gallon tank of similar construction was removed. The 10,000-gallon tank is buried directly behind east of the gasoline dispensing pumps. The existing Gas Boy gasoline dispensing system is 12 years old and has reached its useful life expectancy.
