Summary of Specifications:
for Maintenance for Orange County (and its various agencies) and the various Political Subdivisions of Orange County. Two (2) Options are provided as follows: 1. Picked up at the producer’s plant (F.O.B. Producer’s Plant). 2. Delivered to the various job sites (Points of use). All material furnished under these Specifications shall be in conformance with the requirements of Section 400 Hot Mix Asphalt, specifically Section 403 Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) Pavement for Municipalities and Section 402 Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) Pavements, of the Standard Specification for Construction and Materials of the New York State Department of Transportation, dated January 2, 2002 and all addenda thereto. The producer’s plant shall be capable of producing, as a minimum, 1,000 tons of Hot Mix Asphalt per day and as much material per day as called for up to this limit must be available. The location of the producer’s plant will be taken into consideration when Contracts are awarded and when purchases are made. Generally, the County awards to all Bidders within a reasonable haul distance of or within Orange County.
