The County is seeking bids for rental of industrial grade work uniforms for the County’s Department of Public Works (“DPW”) Garage, the Port Jervis Transfer Station, New Hampton Transfer Station, Newburgh Transfer Station, and the Harriman Wastewater Treatment Facility as more particularly described in the Specifications portion of this RFB. Samples of each uniform item specified in this RFB must accompany each bid submitted in response to this RFB. Failure to provide samples may result in disqualification and the bid deemed non-responsive. If the replacement cost for lost uniform items is not figured into the total weekly price provided on a bidder’s Bid Form, such bidder must enclose a rate sheet for replacement costs for such lost items with its Bid Form. Replacement rates will not be used for bid evaluation purposes but will apply during the Initial Term and the Renewal Term, if any, for any replacements due to loss by the County.
DETERMINATION OF LOW BID. The County may award a firm fixed-price contract to the lowest total bid price responsive and responsible bidder. The responsiveness evaluation will include, but not be limited to, the evaluation of the type and quality of uniform samples against the specified requirements. The lowest total bid price will be determined as follows:
(a) The “INITIAL TERM TOTAL” plus the “RENEWAL TERM TOTAL” in Group A of the Bid Form; plus
(b) The “INITIAL TERM TOTAL” plus the “RENEWAL TERM TOTAL” in Group B of the Bid Form; plus
(c) The “INITIAL TERM TOTAL” plus the “RENEWAL TERM TOTAL” in Group C of the Bid Form.
