Summary of Specifications:
It is the intent of this specification to describe the minimum requirements for providing CRUSHED STONE MATERIALS to be furnished and delivered to Orange County Department of Public Works, 2455-2459 Route 17M, Goshen, New York, or any other county agency when specified. The successful bidder will also be required to supply materials listed in this Request for Bidsl, at the bid unit price to Towns and Villages in Orange County who have filed requirements with the Commissioner of Public Works under the same conditions contained in the specifications. All purchases made by Towns and Villages shall be ordered by and billed directly to them and not to the County of Orange. The County of Orange shall have the exclusive right to make purchases from the next available lowest responsive and responsible bidder. In the event the successful bidder is determined to be in default, the County of Orange reserves its legal and equitable rights against the defaulting contractor. Default shall be considered when trucks from the County and/or any Political Subdivision can not be loaded within a reasonable period of time, after arrival. Use of the next lowest bidder will be made as deemed necessary by the Superintendent of Highways on a per case basis.
