Summary of Specifications:
In 2008, the County of Dutchess, received a grant from the New York State Divisions of Criminal Justice Services, to conduct an extensive examination of the best practices in transitioning individuals returning to the community from prison or jail. This effort culminated in a report entitled, "A Collaborative Model for Effective Reentry and Systems Coordination." The Dutchess County Criminal Justice Council Executive Committee, which oversaw the project, summarized the report in a document entitled, "Transitioning Prisoners to Community Initiative-Position Summary." The Dutchess County Criminal Justice Council and its Reentry Task Force seek a qualified non-profit agency to develop a work plan and a realistic budget to implement the recommendations.
