Summary of Specifications:
Bridge Deck Design for Three Railroad Bridges for the Dutchess Rail Trail. Dutchess County is seeking to retain a qualified Engineering firm to provide Preliminary and Final Design services for a County funded project located in the Town and City of Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County. Additional design services including construction inspection services may be added to this contract by supplemental agreement. This project involves designing a new bridge deck and rail system for three (3) existing railroad bridges. The bridges will carry a paved pedestrain trail, known as the Dutchess Rail Trail Poughkeepsie Extension. The proposed paved trail will be a minimum of thirteen (13) feet in width, and shall accommodate both pedestrain loading as well as HS10 loading for emergency vehicle access.
