ITB-5382 - Rumsey Road Drainage Improvements

Summary of Specifications:
The Project limits are Rumsey Road, from Park Hill Avenue to Spruce Street and Spring Street from Rumsey Road to Travers Avenue. The project will replace the 100-year old culvert with new 24 to 42-inch diameter reinforced concrete pipes sized to accommodate increased flows, additional new catch basins and manholes and new connections to the storm system. The outfall to the culvert under the Saw Mill Parkway will be modified in order to reduce surcharging at the intersection of Spring Road and Travers Avenue and reduce the instances of storm water blowing out of the manholes at the bottom of spring Street. Illegal connections will be terminated and connected into the correct system (either storm or sanitary). In addition, Rumsey Road and Spring Road will be repaved. Care will be taken to disturb as few as possible of the mature trees in the Rumsey Road median. Where trees need to be removed, replacements will be planted.
