The City of Rye proposes to conduct maintenance dredging within their municipal boat basin and the Milton Harbor access channel footprints. Overall, this project will include the dredging of approximately 36,000 cubic yards of marine sediments consisting of approximately 21,000 cubic yards from the channel and approximately 15,000 cy from the basin. Disposal for the channel material is authorized at the Western Long Island Sound Disposal Site and disposal for the basin material is authorized for the either the Clean Earth Dredge Material Disposal Facility in Jersey City, New Jersey, or the Tipping Point Resource Group receiving facility in Uncasville, Connecticut. It is anticipated that the selected contractor will complete all of the work within the next available dredge window between October 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022.
